My interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began as a child growing up in a TCM family; both of my parents are prestigious TCM doctors and professors in China. I was fascinated by how effective herbs and acupuncture worked when my parents treated patients. During my childhood time, herbs and acupuncture were routinely used as therapy for common ailments in the household. I worked alongside nationwide leading TCM doctors and professors in the space of acupuncture and herb medicine after I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree. During the five years of working at the Institute of Basic Theory for Chinese Medicine, China Academy of TCM, I took full advantage of my time by involving myself in numerous clinical programs, including Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal chronic pain treatment, Acupuncture for women’s hormonal and fertility, Acupuncture for stress level management and Acupuncture for teenage insight eye treatment, etc.
